K+-transporting ATPase, C subunit This chain has a single predicted transmembrane region near the amino end. It is part of a K+-transport ATPase that contains two other membrane-bound subunits, KdpA and KdpB, and a small subunit KdpF. KdpA is the K+-translocating subunit, KdpB the ATP-hydrolyzing subunit. During assembly of the complex, KdpA and KdpC bind to each other. This interaction is thought to stabilize the complex [MEDLINE:9858692]. Data indicates that KdpC might connect the KdpA, the K+-transporting subunit, to KdpB, the ATP-hydrolyzing (energy providing) subunit [MEDLINE:9858692].
