SCO5389 family protein
The function of this protein is unknown. A member of this family was shown to have two-fold increased protein expression in a strain of Streptomyces tsukubaensis under redox stress from knockout of the hydrogen peroxide-scavenging enzyme AhpC. A one-time classification of this protein family as a recurring spurious translation of shadow ORFs overlapping a different and real gene family appears to have been in error.
