subtilase family AB5 toxin binding subunit Members of this family are the B subunit of AB5 toxins such as the ADP-ribosylating cytotoxin subtilase, which is related to pertussis toxin. These B subunits, in general, form homopentamers. This family does not include any related pertussis toxin subunits (such as PtxB, PtxC, or PtxE), although some members of this family may have carried legacy annotations saying they are pertussis toxin proteins.
