inclusion membrane protein IncB When Chlamydia invades a cell, the host-derived membrane of the vacuole in which it resides becomes known as the inclusion membrane. The chlamydial type III secretion system (T3SS) delivers a number of effector proteins into the inclusion membrane, including this protein, IncB (inclusion membrane protein B). IncB proteins from different chlamydial species share a conserved hydrophobic C-terminal region, represented by this HMM, but their N-terminal regions vary considerably in length and sequence.
