Proteins from this family that may contain just an N-terminal signal peptide followed by this domain, or have a copper chaperone domain in addition, just past the signal peptide. A majority of bacteria that encode a peptide-derived methanobactin precursor encode a member of this family as well, strongly suggesting a role for this domain in copper acquisition.
