Genome Information for Escherichia coli
Enteroinvasive Escherichia coli (EIEC), one of the pathogenic forms of E. coli closely related to Shigella species in terms of disease signs and symptoms, mechanism of disease, phenotypes and genotypes and is difficult to distinguish from the latter. We have managed to differentiate both and further type Enteroinvasive E. coli.
