The standalone wwwblast server assumes that users have their own BLAST or RPS-BLAST database(s), and want to have a simple web interface to search against them. Only a set of small databases are included with the package for testing purposes.
To introduce a new database into the wwwblast setup and make it searchable, we will need to do the following:
1. obtain the database, through ftp downloading or formatdb process;
2. place all the database files in the db directory;
3. edit the corresponding *.rc file to add the database name next to the appropriate program;
4. edit the corresponding *.html file (with and/or without the _cs) to add the database into the list.
