3.2.30 Parameter -l (lower case L)

Parameter -l
Function Restricts the search of a database to the subset specified by GIs in the input file
Default Optional
Input format [File in]
Example To restrict the search to GIs in my_gi.txt, use: -l my_gi.txt

Note:

The argument is the name of a text file containing a list of GIs. The GIs will be used to restrict the search to the specified entries in the database. We can only use this with NCBI databases. For commonly used subset, database alias is a better alternative. GIs can be obtained from Entrez with appropriate query terms. More details on advance Entrez query construction is at:
