Study: Solanum pimpinellifolium Transcriptome or Gene expression
show Abstracthide Abstract
Fruit formation and the early stages of fruit development are associated with a broad range of physiological and morphological transformations involving the various constituent tissues of the ovary. These developmental changes vary considerably according to tissue type, but molecular analyses at an organ-wide level inevitably obscure many critical tissue-specific phenomena. To circumvent this problem, we used laser capture microdissection (LCM) coupled to high-throughput RNA-sequencing (RNA-seq) to analyze the transcriptome of ovaries and fruit of the wild tomato species Solanum pimpinellifolium.
Sample: tomato fruit (D0_Pl)
