Chromosome Terms
- Whole chromosome, chromosome arm, chromosome band (human or mouse)
- Each chromosome term must have one of the following prefixes:
+ (gain), ++ (high gain)
- (loss), -- (low loss)
Examples: +3 ++8q24 +9A1 (mouse band)
A search for gain brings up high gain also, but searching for high gain
is restricted to high gain only; a search for loss brings up low loss also,
but searching for low loss is restricted to low loss only.
- The chromosome field works only for the Public Cases.
Since the CGH data in the private format is more subject to revision, these
cases are not converted into a chromosome-searchable format until they are made
public. Submitters should be familiar enough with their own data to select cases
of interest for CGH comparison.
Text Terms
You can enter a single topic, or any combination of topics in any order. Separate each topic
by a space, without punctuation (i.e., do not use commas).
NB: Multiple topics can be combined in a single search, but only one site (tissue) and
one diagnosis can be searched at a time. However, a search of a particular site may bring up multiple diagnoses and vice versa.
If search for a specific site brings up other sites, it indicates that, for those cases, this tissue has been listed as a metastatic site (see "Case Details" for those cases).
