Abstract

Causes of recurrent varicosities of the subcutaneous vein (VSV) of lower extremities were studied in 331 patients operated upon. It was established that the main cause of recurrent VSV was tactical and technical errors. The use of the hollow vein stripper for the intraoperative detection of insufficiency of the communicating veins was shown to be justified.
