Abstract

Percutaneous Transhepatic or Trans T-tube Choledochal catheterization and lithotripsy were successfully performed without significant complication, using flexible forceps and electrohydraulic lithotriptor in all of seventeen cases. Eleven cases were treated by flexible stone forceps under the fluoroscopic control and the other six cases were treated by electrohydraulic lithotriptor under fiberscopic control. The age of the cases ranged from 47 to 79 (mean 65.4) years old. The main reasons why surgical operation was avoided were advanced age, previous history of cholecystectomy, and concurrent diseases.
