Figure F-53 is titled “Change in STAI for CBT-mixed compared with control, by type of comparator.” The figure displays a forest plot reporting weighted mean difference of STAI stratified by CBT-mixed compared to waitlist and CBT-mixed compared to supportive counseling. The plot depicts a greater reduction in STAI scores for patients treated with CBT-mixed than waitlist (3 trials, weighted mean difference −12.12, 95% CI −24.11 to −0.12, I2 = 88.6%) or supportive counseling (1 trial, weighted mean difference −8.37, 95% CI −16.13 to −0.61). The overall analysis favored CBT-mixed (weighted mean difference −11.21, 95% CI −20.04 to −2.37, I2 =83.5%).
