[The first years of activity at the counting-house of Dr. Jozef Mianowski and its merits for medicine]

Abstract

The Józef Mianowski Counting-house was active in 1881-1939. It was founded in the Russian partition. It was a learned society supporting creative intentions, also in the field of medicine. In the first years of its activity it granted financial support to the persons studying medicine, covered the cost of travels to foreign scientific centres and the cost of participation in the international meetings. It supported the organizing of research studies in Poland and carried out publishing activity.
