Since 2009, the Minister for Health has supported the World Health Organisation's "Clean Care is Safer Care" initiative. To this effect, a national Clean Hands Mission day is organised every year on 5th May. The French South West Centrefor the Coordination and Fight against Nosocomial Infections (CClin) marks the day by holding the "hydroalcoholic solution dance".
