Clin Orthop Relat Res. 1976 Nov-Dec;(121):103-4.

Stress fracture of the pubic ramus stimulating a loose total hip replacement.

    Abstract

Severe pain in the groin following total hip replacement may occur suddenly without any trauma. Roentgenograms can be misleading when a radiolucent line is noted about the acetabular component which suggests loosening but in fact may be a stress fracture of the pubis.
