Psychological mechanisms of speech rehabilitation in aphasic patients

Acta Neurochir Suppl (Wien). 1993:56:85-90. doi: 10.1007/978-3-7091-9239-9_14.

Abstract

The theoretical basis of speech rehabilitation and some inherent mechanisms of language/speech, that could be used to overcome speech disorders, are discussed. Among them: Stimulation of speech functions of the right hemisphere, structures of functional systems according to Luria, modular systems in cognitive neuropsychology, and the importance of the use of new processing strategies.
