Abstract

Sergentomyia bergerardi, new species collected in the Mayombe forest in the People's Republic of the Congo, is described from two male specimens. This sand fly belongs to the subgenus Sergentomyia and is differenciated from other species of this subgenus from the length of antennal segment III and cibarial armature.
