High tibial osteotomy with overcorrection of varus malalignment in medial gonarthrosis

Acta Orthop Scand. 1980 Jun;51(3):557-60. doi: 10.3109/17453678008990840.

Abstract

Seventy-eight knee joints with varus malalignment were examined preoperatively using three-point measurement. Operation was performed with or without 5 degrees overcorrection of the varus deformity using random selection. The overcorrection group showed significantly better results than the normal-correction group.
