Paradoxical halide levels in bromide intoxication.

    Abstract

In two patients with acute bromide toxicity, serum bromide levels rose during the period of observation, but this increase was not associated with clinical deterioration. In both, serum "chloride" levels were also high, but these values actually indicated elevated extracellular halide concentrations.
