Statement on matching language to the type of evidence used in describing outcomes data

Abstract

The statement below was issued by the HEART Group, a group of editors of the world's cardiovascular journals, to recommend that language in research studies should 'match' the type of study conducted. It was decided upon by members of the HEART Group at the August 2012 ESC Congress in Munich.
