Int Nurs Rev. 2008 Sep;55(3):305-8. doi: 10.1111/j.1466-7657.2008.00643.x.

Abstract

In 2003, the Department of Health in England launched a new policy, which encourages occupational nurses to take on dimensions within their role linked to a public health ethos. This article is intended to explore one dimension of public health through the vehicle of health promotion. Suggestions are made regarding the development of the role of the occupational health nurse, particularly in relation to research, evaluation and information sharing through regional and national networks.
