    Abstract

Providing a quality and cost-effective orientation program for certified nursing assistants making the transition from long-term care facilities to acute care settings can be quite challenging. This article describes the process and effectiveness of an educational program implemented at a 380-bed hospital to bridge the gap between being a long-term care nursing assistant and being an acute care nursing assistant.
