A lessons learned system in healthcare IT implementation.

Abstract

In this paper, we adopted a Lesson learned (LL) approach to promote knowledge sharing and knowledge management in healthcare IT implementation processes. The goal of the LL system is to provide system implementation suggestions based on the similarities between a new case and previous known cases. By doing so the LL system might help prevent avoidable healthcare IT failures via reuse of knowledge gained through past experiences.
