Abstract

Intraperitoneal injection of the essential oil of Asarum himalaicum and A. heterotropoides var. mandshuricum may inhibit the proliferation of granuloma induced by implantation of cotton pellets in rats. This action might be related to the reduction of blood serum zinc.
