Clin Podiatr Med Surg. 2003 Jul;20(3):469-85, ix. doi: 10.1016/S0891-8422(03)00036-3.

Abstract

Arthritis and other rheumatic conditions are among the most common disabilities in the United States. Although arthritic conditions affect the knee and hip joints more frequently than the joints of the foot, disorders of the foot are particularly disabling. This article outlines the types of arthritis conditions affecting the foot and discusses strategies for management and rehabilitation.
