Objective: To study the best methods of operation for riding transverse sinuses hematoma.
Methods: Analysed 12 patients with riding transverse sinuses hematoma treated by transconfluence sinuses suboccipital craniotomy.
Results: Of twelve cases, 10 cases were cured, 1 cases was in severe deformity and the rest 1 died after operation.
Conclusion: The advantages of suboccipital craniotomy are anatomical replacement, less postoperative complications caused by suboccipital craniotomy, so suboccipital craniotomy by transconfluence sinuses is a better operative way in treating riding transverse sinuses hematoma.
