Abstract

AIDS: An outline of available food assistance programs is provided, along with information on eligibility requirements and application procedures. A review of the Food Stamp program, in the form of text and tables, provides details on how the plan works, who benefits from it, and how to calculate household income to determine qualification for aid. Additional information is given about the criteria used for qualifying as a Food Stamp household, and Electronic Benefits Transfer which uses debit cards instead of coupon books for Food Stamps. Other programs such as School food programs, the Women's, Infants' and Children's (WIC) Program, and the Temporary Emergency Food Assistance Program are also assessed.
