Radiation safety in the cardiac catheterization laboratory: basic principles

Catheter Cardiovasc Interv. 1999 Jun;47(2):229-36. doi: 10.1002/(SICI)1522-726X(199906)47:2<229::AID-CCD23>3.0.CO;2-W.

Abstract

The possibility of injury from X-rays is only one of the risks of working in a cardiac catheterization laboratory. This article introduces information that should help understand the physics and radiobiology associated with radiation protection.
