Welcome to the Aphid Genome Resources guide. The Acyrthosiphon pisum (pea aphid) genome was sequenced and assembled by the Human Genome Sequencing Center at Baylor College of Medicine with funding from the National Human Genome Research Institute. This page offers a gateway to aphid resources at and beyond NCBI. We welcome your suggestions.

Acyrthosiphon pisum, also known as the pea aphid, is an insect responsible for hundreds of millions of dollars of crop damage every year, and is used as a model organism for studying adaptation and resistance to pesticides. It is also a powerful model system for studying bacterial endosymbiosis, developmental plasticity, and alternative modes of reproduction.
