This tutorial will take you through the steps involved in looking for an alignment between two DNA sequences that are to be used to build a larger sequence. This tutorial uses the Find Overlaps tool, which is designed to look for dove-tail (end-to-end) alignments.
This tutorial assumes the user has already reviewed at least tutorial 1 and has a basic knowledge of the program.
This tutorial is intended for users of Genome Workbench working with the Genome Maintenance Project. This tutorial will outline the steps for reviewing alignments in Genome Workbench and generating alignments for submission to the maintenance project. However, there are also general concepts applicable to many users presented here, such as how to visually inspect annotations on two sequences in alignment.
