Legend Legend: Maps of the linkage groups corresponding to the 14 P. falciparum nuclear chromosomes. Framework markers (bold) were ordered with a LOD score of at least 1.7 over alternative orders of these same markers, meaning that the given order is a 50X more likely explanation of the data than any other possible marker arrangement. Likewise, a superscript "1" denotes a LOD advantage of between 1 and 1.7 (10X-50X). The remaining markers are listed in their most probable positions. Grouped markers were not separated by crossover events. Markers that were additionally assigned by physical mapping are underlined. RFLP markers are indicated in italics.
