Peer Review

GeneReviews follows a peer review process consistent with that used by scholarly journals.

• Two to four experts on the disease review each draft entry.
  
  
• Reviewers check the entry for accuracy, completeness, and currency.
  
  
• Reviewers ascertain that the entry meets GeneReviews author guidelines.
  
  
• Reviewers are anonymous to authors.

Experts with concerns about content of a posted GeneReview or accuracy of genetic testing information are welcome to submit additional peer reviews.
