Paget's disease of bone: the Lancashire focus. This article has been cited by other articles in PMC.Abstract The radiological prevalence of Paget's disease of bone has been studied in 31 towns in Britain. A remarkably localised area of high prevalence has been shown in Lancashire. Although environmental influences seem dominant in the aetiology of the disease, no hypothesis about the environmental cause of the Lancashire focus can be advanced.
