Numbers of MIC results obtained by using 48-h Etest and 48-h broth microdilution (BMD) for eight antimicrobial agents tested against 26 Y. pestis isolates at four test sites (n = 104). The lowest dilution tested by BMD is indicated for cases in which the value was different from the lowest dilution on the x axis. Trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole MIC values indicate the trimethoprim portion only.
