Ig Germline GenesOur collections of germline V, D and J genes include functional genes, genes with Open Reading Frame (ORF) and pseudogenes. Pseudogenes that are shorter than 200 bp or miss more than half of the FWR1 as well as FWR3 domains are not included. With the exception of some pseudogenes, all other human germline genes/alleles (i.e., names starting with IGHV, IGKV, IGLV, IGHD, IGHJ, IGKJ and IGLJ) are from IMGT database, courtesy of Dr. Lefranc. Use of IMGT-derived germline genes/alleles is subject to conditions and terms set forth by IMGT.Our compilation excludes the signal peptide sequences and the recombination signal sequences. The ambiguous character (N for nucleotide and X for protein sequences) is used to pad the sequence at ends whenever a sequence is incomplete (i.e., missing part of FWR1 or FWR3). Nomenclatures by the original authors are used except for entries from IMGT database (see correspondence between nomenclatures). |
