    Summary
    yicR is paralogous to cryptic prophage genes yfjY, ykfG, yeeS, although they lack the N-terminal helix-hairpin-helix (HhH) domain of YicR. [More information is available at EcoGene: EG11312]. The radC102 mutation was originally thought to be allelic with yicR/b3638; however, it is shown to be allelic with recG/b3652 . yicR supplied on a low-copy-number vector did not alter UV sensitivities of recG mutants or their background strain .
