Global alignment of a RefSeq with other complete sequences (sample)

Avian leukosis virus, complete genome  ( 3 additional sequence(s))
BLAST
The red, blue, and green bars represent differences, deletions, or insertions in sequences, compared with the reference sequence. The alignments were precomputed using the "band" version of the Needleman-Wunsch algorithm. If no significant alignment could be obtained for a particular sequence (e.g. AY013304), no horizontal bar is shown. In such cases, BLAST2 is recommended to look for local sequence similarities to the reference sequence.

Histogram
Shows the average density of nucleotide changes (excluding gaps, insertions and undetermined nucleotides) in all additional sequences per a reference sequence segment. The length of the segment is equal to the length of the reference sequence divided by the width of its graphical representation (in pixels).

BLAST2
Compares the reference sequence and a selected sequence (from the "BLAST" column) and provides a result.

Displays an Entrez list for retrieval.

Graphical Representation of the Reference Sequence
The magenta lines represent coding regions.

Text Format
Displays pairwise alignments in text format.
