Ciona intestinalis cDNA Project

OVERVIEW

Satou et al. have sequenced over 4700 full-insert Ciona intestinalis cDNAs.

For the C. intestinalis cDNA project, six cDNA libraries were made from fertilized eggs, 2- and 32-cell stage embryos, tailbud embryos, larvae, young adults, and the testis of mature C. intestinalis . Expressed sequence tags (ESTs) were of the 5'-most end and 3'-most end of more than 90,000 clones. The clones were categorized into independent clusters using the 3'-end sequences.
