    What's a GeneRIF?
    1. This study reports for the first time that bovine LAPTM4B in granulosa cells is present in both unubiquinated and ubiquinated forms, and is differentially expressed in developing ovarian follicles
      Title: Differential expression of lysosome-associated protein transmembrane-4 beta (LAPTM4B) in granulosa cells of ovarian follicles and in other bovine tissues.
    2. LAPTM4B is differentially expressed at the mRNA and protein levels in different bovine tissues. The mRNA yields a 26.3 kDa protein that undergoes mono-ubiquitination resulting in a 31.5 kDa isoform. Immunohistochemical observations revealed that LAPTM4B expression was highly variable among tissues, and among similar and adjacent cell types. LAPTM4B may confer protection against the accumulation of metabolic byproducts.
