Note that codon 2153 specified by the CAA triplet at nucleotide positions 6666–6668 specifies glutamine in the ApoB100 product synthesized in liver. In the intestine, however, the CAA codon is converted by RNA editing to the stop codon U AA, resulting in a shorter product, ApoB48.
