The cell cycle in myotubes (I). The first part of the cell cycle is represented in a linear fashion; boundaries between cell cycle phases are marked by thin, vertical lines. The approximate points where transcription of some cell cycle regulatory genes begins are marked. Growth factor stimulation induces G0-arrested, TD myotubes to enter G1 and progress to the mid-G1 block (thick, vertical line), but not beyond.
