Excerpt

Our intention in publishing this supplement, The Intolerable Burden of Malaria: A New Look at the Numbers, is to strengthen African capacity to address the burden of malaria through research and science-based policies and operations. The supplement will serve as an information and resource tool for decision makers in Ministries of Health and in other public and private sectors. The publication should also be of use to public health workers, malaria control program personnel, and malaria researchers in Africa and elsewhere.
