Genome sequencing of Sus scrofa by the Swine Genome Sequencing Consortium

A mixed assembly based on sequenced clones and WGS sequence from the Sus scrofa genome was produced by the Swine Genome Sequencing Consortium, working with The Genome Analysis Centre, Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute, and Beijing Genomics Institute. The assembly is based on DNA from a single Duroc pig, TJ Tabasco.
