Genome Information for Plasmodium chabaudi
The Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute Pathogen Sequencing Unit has undertaken the sequencing of the Plasmodium chabaudi genome, which has an estimated size of 30 Mb and is comprised of 14 chromosomes.
The P. chabaudi whole genome shotgun (WGS) project has the project accession CAAJ00000000. The current version of the project (01) has the accession number CAAJ01000000, and consists of sequences CAAJ01000001-CAAJ01010690. This initial version is a low coverage genome assembly containing automated annotation and should be analyzed and interpreted with these caveats. The sequence and assembly have been released in this preliminary state by the Sanger Institute for the benefit of the scientific community.
