History (Show revision history)

Comment

S. cerevisiae strain T73 was isolated from a red wine prepared from a Monastrel grape in fermentation stage in Alicante, Spain in 1987. It is in the ATCC collection as ATCC 28383, or the strain may be obtained from ... Dr. Justin Fay, Washington University School of Medicine. DNA was prepared in the laboratory of Dr. Justin Fay by Juyoung Huh. All sequencing was performed using the rho- derivatives of monosporic clones or haploid clones from the strains described. 454 instruments were used to produce a survey coverage draft assembly. Total sequence coverage of the genome was 13.9X using a genome size estimate of 14-16 Mb. The combined sequence reads were assembled using the Newbler software (Roche 454).
