RefSeq Release 18

RefSeq release 18 includes genomic, transcript, and protein sequences available as of July 1, 2006, from 3,497 organisms. The number of RefSeq accessions in Release 18 and their combined lengths is given in Table 1. RefSeq releases are posted every two months, and the next release is scheduled for September, 2006. Release notes documenting the scope and content of the database are provided at:
