The Entrez UniGene database now offers over 715,000 transcript clusters, linked to nucleotide records, for 48 animals and plants. Recent additions to UniGene include: Neurospora crassa (a fungus from the Ascomycota ) with 28,217 transcript sequences in 3,217 clusters, Magnaporthe grisea (rice blast fungus ), with 46,488 transcript sequences in 5,721 clusters, and Ciona savignyi, with 56,284 transcript sequences in 6,315 clusters. |
