The Neisseria lactamica Y92-1009 whole genome shotgun (WGS) project has the project accession CACL00000000. This version of the project (01) has the accession number CACL01000000, and consists of sequences CACL01000001-CACL01000044.
This sequence is part of a preliminary data set from the Neisseria lactamica Y92-1009 genome sequencing project. It may contain misassemblies, base-calling errors, pad-shuffling errors and other artefacts. The source organism is known to undergo phase-variation via slipped-strand mispairing, and apparent pseudogenes in this sequence may therefore be expressible in vivo. Coding DNA sequences and their associated ribosome-binding sites have been predicted with MetaGeneAnnotator (Noguchi H., Taniguchi T. & Itoh T.; DNA Res 15(6):386-397 (2008)). EasyGene predictions (Nielsen P. & Krogh A.; Bioinformatics 21(24):4322-4329 (2003)) are shown where these coincide with MetaGeneAnnotator predictions. Numerical locus tags are generated at the contig level and do not reflect the true order or orientation between contigs.
