The Caenorhabditis brenneri whole genome shotgun (WGS) project has the project accession ABEG00000000. This version of the project (02) has the accession number ABEG02000000, and consists of sequences ABEG02000001-ABEG02013373.
The organism is Caenorhabditis brenneri Sudhaus & Kiontke, 2007; strain PB2801. This strain is derived from the wild isolate LKC28. It was inbred in Scott Baird's laboratory for 20 generations by transferring one gravid female per generation. The strain LKC28 was established from worms collected by Hernan Ruiz in 2003 from roots of Liriope (Convallariaceae) grown in a nursery in Costa Rica (Provinciade Alajuela) (Sudhaus & Kiontke 2007). LKC28 and three other strains of C. brenneri were described in Sudhaus & Kiontke, 2007.
Four contigs, and their singleton scaffolds GL542916-GL542919, were added in Nov. 2010.
Annotation was added to the scaffolds in July 2011.
